 Vaporized Marijuana Experiments

Only marijuana vaporizers that vaporize dry herbs will be studied. All experiments are purely personal results. We're sure you can make your own judgments and do your own homework. Photographs are taken by a 43x digital microscope. The following photograph shows the frosty thc crystals or trichromes on the calyx of some good Kush weed. The photo gives a great visual of the mushroom like trichromes that contain most of the CBDs of the marijuana plant of which you want to ingest.

Arizer Solo Digit Portable Vaporization Experiment
The Solo Digit portable vaporizer is a Canadian product made by the Arizer company. This study begins with the Solo vaporizer at temperature #4 and 2 people intermittently using it for 15 minutes straight. The glass bowl holds about 1/4 gram of dry weed. Arizer Extreme Q-Tower Vaporization Experiment
The Extreme Q-Tower vaporizer is another vaporizer made in Canada. The following photograph is of the experiment completed at 390°F (200°C) after 4 balloon fulls. The amount of dry herb used in the bowl was 1/3 of a gram, the bowl was about 1/2 full. Storz and Bickel Digital Volcano Vaporization Experiment
The Volcanoes are considered the top of the line vaporizers that precisely vaporizes dry herbs to the max. A hot air generator of Cadillac quality. Our study begins at a temperature of 375°F (190°C) where the following photograph is a Kush dry calyx that was vaped after 5 balloon fulls. You can visualize the exhaustion factor, maybe 75% to 85%. We actually squeezed out 10 balloon fulls with noticeable vapor deterioration accompanying the seventh balloon full. The amount of dry herb in the bowl was 1/2 gram. VaporTower Vaporizer Vaporization Experiment
 The VaporTower vaporization experiment starts with the temperature setting at 1:00 on the dial. We let the unit heat up for 5 minutes with the dry herb in the bowl, on top of the heating chamber, to warm it up while we get ready. The experiment used 1/3 of a gram of herb. There was no time limit, we vaped until the weed produced no more vapor, probably 15 to 20 minutes for 2 average sized people.   DaVinci Portable Vaporizer Vaporization Experiment 
The DaVinci vaporization experiment begins at a temperature setting of 200°C. This vaporizer holds a small amount, about 1/8 of a gram. The weed was placed inside the heating chamber before starting, this way the weed heats up as the unit reaches operating temperature. 2 vape heads used a slow draw until the auto shut off kicked in. The VaporBrothers vaporization experiment begins with a temperature setting of 12:00 on the dial. This experiment started immediately after the initial heat up of the unit for ten minutes. TVape True Vaporizer Vaporization Experiment

Arizer Solo Digit Vaporizer Experiment #1
This Arizer Solo Digit Portable Vaporizer experiment starts at a temperature setting of #3 which is 374°F (190°C). The amount of dry herb used is 1/4 of a gram loosely packed. Vaping time for us is 15 minutes per bowl. The Solo vaporizer heats up fast. We keep the dry herb in the bowl to heat up as the unit heats up. The warm herb vapes much better. Simply notice the blue vapor disappear, you're done when you have to use excessive toke pressure to get vapor. The following micro-photographs illustrate final exhaustion of dry herb for this experiment, (about 80%).

The amount of dry herb used is 1/4 of a gram loosely packed. Vaping time for us is 15 minutes per bowl. We really tried to vaporize to the fullest extent in this experiment. Arizer Extreme Q-Tower Vaporizer Experiment #1
This Arizer Extreme Q-Tower vaporization experiment was completed by 2 average sized mature adult couple, male and female. The temperature setting was at 200°C or 393°F. The amount of dry herb inserted into the bowl was .4 of a gram which filled half of the bowl from the bottom screen to half way from the silicone black line of the handle. A balloon was used at 18" high and 8" wide when fully inflated. Fan speed was at #2 setting (out of 3). The herb weed was stirred after every bowl balloon full. We vaporized 4 balloon fulls for this experiment. The following photographs illustrate the end results.

The following experiments deal with the volcano vaporizers made by the German company Storz and Bickel. Their vaporizers have precise temperature controls in the range of 104° and 446°F (40° and 230°C) with a temperature accuracy ± 2,7°F (1,5°C).


Digital Volcano Vaporizer Experiment #1
This experiment starts with a temperature of 375°F (190°C) with 1/2 gram of dry herb in the bowl while using an easy valve balloon system. A consistent herb stirring was done after each balloon full of vapor. Before each balloon full we let the herb stay on the heating chamber to warm up for about one minute before we turned on the fan. We got an amazing 10 balloon fulls of vapor. The vapor was consistent up to the 6th balloon full, the 7th was a noticeable drop in vapor thickness, while the 10th was squeezing the final vapors out. Two vape heads, average sized mature people, filled their lungs a grand total of 10 to 12 times per balloon. The following micro-photos are from the exhausted dry herb resulting from this experiment. Digital Volcano Vaporizer Experiment #2
This experiment starts with a temperature of 400°F (205°C) with 1/2 gram of dry herb in the bowl while using an easy valve balloon system. A consistent herb stirring was done after each balloon full of vapor. Before each balloon full we let the herb stay on the heating chamber to warm up for about one minute before we turned on the fan. The experiment yielded 5 balloon fulls before vaporization exhaustion was completed. The vapor was a little darker blue than usual for the 3rd balloon full but was still excellent to consume.

VaporTower Vaporizer Vaporization Experiment

The VaporTower Vaporizer  vaporization experiment was completed at temperature setting 1:00 on the dial which is about 3/4 of it's maximum travel. There was 1/3 of a gram of dry weed in the bowl. This is an on demand whip style intake. The amount of time per bowl full was not important, we made sure the weed was completely exhausted, no more vapor, which takes averages of 15 to 20 minutes. The herb was not stirred, we let the vaporizer do it's thing naturally. Please enjoy the following photographs of the end results of this experiment. We noticed a very even vaporization percentage.

DaVinci Portable Vaporizer Vaporization Experiment

The DaVinci portable vaporizer vaporization experiment #1 had the unit start at a temperature of 200°C. A small amount of weed, about 1/8 of a gram, fits inside the chamber. The finely chopped dry weed was allowed to heat up along with the DaVinci as it reached operating temperature. The DaVinci heats up quickly. Slow consistent intake yields the best blue vapor. Two average size vape heads went at it until the automatic shut off feature kicked in. Amazingly the exhausted herb looks quite uniform, about a 90% vaporization rate.

The VaporBrothers vaporization experiment begins with a temperature setting of 12:00 on the dial. The unit was allowed to do it's initial heat up for 10 minutes. Then 1/3 of a gram of dry herb was place in the wand/chamber bowl and allowed to heat back up with the vaporizer for 5 minutes. This was the very first bowl of herb to be vaporized in this particular vape. Using the on demand whip style intake, cool blue vapor fills the air for approximately 15 minutes then there was total exhaustion of the weed. One little stirring of the weed occurred during the ten minute mark, you could tell the vapor was thinning out. The weed looks like it exhausted quite well, not much left behind, about a 90% vape rate. As pictured below you can see in the group photo and the calyx photo that the dry herb is well done. One of the simplest yet best vaporizers.

Vapir No.2 Vaporization Experiment

The Vapir No.2 vaporizer experiment begins with an initial internal temperature of 375°F (190°C) where the following photograph shows the results of a 10 minute session by two average size people. This is an on convection air style vaporizer so the strength of intake dictates vaporization rate. The weed seemed exhausted as at the end of 10 minutes as the available vapor was dissipating rapidly. Amount of herb used is around 1/4 of a gram, (you don't need much in the herb chamber). The herb was not stirred during the experiment. The photos below show the exhaustion rate is great and the quality of the vaporization is superb.

The Vaporite Twister vaporizer has 5 temperature settings on the digital readout dial, for this experiment we chose setting #4 for a temperature range of 390°F (200°C) to 410°F (205°C). There was approximately 1/8 of a gram of dry Haze weed vaporized by 2 vape heads who take their medicine everyday. The experiment lasted for 10 minutes with a nice consistent vaporization session before we definitely noticed no more blue vapor was present. The mouthpiece is fairly close to the heating chamber so draw weight was important. Looks like a vaporization rate of 85% was achieved.

Vapolution Vaporizer Vaporization Experiment

The Vapolution Vaporizer vaporization experiment starts with herb you do not grind. We simply fit our herb comfortably into the All-In-Wonderbowl, placed it into the heating chamber and began the session. The temperature setting for the speed dial was at 12:00 making the actual reading approximately 390°F (200°C). Astonishingly the dry herb, about 1/3 of a gram, was vaped quite well by 2 vape heads. A beautiful blue vapor always resulted. The session lasted 6 minutes with 12 solid hits between the two people. There is a cool carburetor hole that'll let you shoot the vapor right down your lungs, awesome. This allows for different draw techniques than most vaporizers.
The photographs below show the fresh herb that was placed into the All-In-Wonderbowl, then a micro photo of the same piece of herb that has been fully exhausted. Seemed to good to be true, the third micro photograph shows the exhausted piece of herb crushed, revealing an even, complete vaporization rate. The "no grinding" advertising really works.

Flashvape Portable Vaporizer Vaporization Experiments

The FlashVape vaporizer comes with a regular 3.2v battery power supply and a 3.7v stage 2 power boost kit.


Vaporization Experiment #1
 This portion of the Flashvape vaporization experiment uses the regular 3.2v battery power that comes with the vaporizer. Temperature settings are automatic. The experiment by 2 vape heads lasted 10 minutes until the blue vapor was well dissipated. You can get quite a few hauls from this vaporizer. About a good 1/2 gram was placed into the heating chamber. There's lots of room for more weed in the chamber but we wanted good air circulation. The glass mouthpiece connects to a separate vapor chamber right above the heating chamber. Glass delivers a nice tasting smooth vapor. The herb was stirred up after 5 minutes. The resulting vaporization rate is a good overall 90%. In the following photograph you can see some little pieces getting close to 100% vaporized.

Vaporization Experiment #2
This portion of the Flashvape vaporization experiment utilizes the extra 3.7v battery power supplied by the stage 2 accessory kit. The kit is super easy to install. With the extra power you get thicker vapor with the same intake pressure used for experiment #1. The heating chamber size is decreased as you have to place a spacer between the heating element and the herb itself to help boost vaporization. We still were able to use 1/2 gram to get adequate air circulation. It took 2 vape heads 7 minutes to exhaust the dry herb. The following micro photograph shows a superb 90% vaporization rate. This vaporizer is definitely more powerful with the stage 2 kit installed.

TVape True Vaporizer Vaporization Experiments

The TVape True Vaporizer is a unique vaporizer that can vaporize a rolled up paper joint or it can vaporizer dry herbs alone. Both methods proved to work just fine. Flavored papers give a subtle taste and worked great. One of the easiest vaporizers to use, just pack with dry weed, or slip in a rolled up paper joint, screw together, turn it on, wait a few minutes and start vaping immediately.



TVape Vaporizer Dry Herb Experiment
 TVape experiment #1 begins with simple dry herb filling the tube oven chamber with 1/2 gram. The dry herb is not packed down. It took 10 minutes for two vape heads to exhaust the weed. Oven temperature automatically hits 370°F degrees which works just fine. We found to hit the "On" button to increase oven temp up to 420°F to completely exhaust the dry herb near the end of it's life. You can see below the exhaustion rate of over 90%.

TVape Vaporizer Paper Joint Experiment
 TVape Experiment #2 begins with a rolled up Zig Zag paper herb joint, 1/2 gram of dry herb, inserted into the tube oven. Two vape heads went at it for 12 minutes. We noticed it took longer for a paper joint to be vaporized. At times it was prudent to engage the "On" button to increase the oven temp for complete exhaustion. The TVape truly did vaporize the weed and not the rolling paper. As photographed below, the vaporization rate is a solid 95% while the rolling paper is still there.
